Prince of Tennis: National Chapter – 02 August 2, 2006

The wait for this episode since I first reviewed episode one of PoT:NCC was astronomical! What has it been now? Four months? Anywho, grateful that it’s still being subbed! Incase anyone is wondering, I’m following the group “Saizen” who’re doing a pretty good job with the translations. So poke around http://www.animesuki.com/ if you’ve been having trouble following.
As we last saw, one tennis club or another started to provoke the Seigaku Tennis Club. Which can only mean they’re going to be beaten down rather soon. Higa Middle School’s entire club has pretty bad manners, as they all pretty much root for Seigaku’s loss. This just fuels Seigaku’s drive as their team is eager to show them how good they are. You know the drill!
Round One is singles one, Ryoma versus Tanishi. Echizen freely makes fun of Tanishi’s weight… but after that they play some tennis. This match we see Echizen’s “Cool Drive” return, and Tanishi’s “Big Bang” serve, and noted that all of Higa Middle School practice okinawan style martial arts (the same style I know!). As usual Ryoma out plays his opponent and keeps control pretty much the entire game, even announcing how he was going to win.
This episode also introduces what is likely to be the other kid tennis prodigy of this season. We don’t find out all that much about Toyama Kintaro other than his name, his bad sense of directions, and his sense of justice. You see him in the intro facing Echizen, so pretty obvious implications there.
That covers most of the episode. I wonder how long the wait for the next episode will be? If we’re lucky we’ll finish the series in our early 70’s or something!

Well as find, toyama Kintaro seems to the devil of tennis, much probably is face Tezuka, I’m no much dart with him, aun’t seems a monkey, will be a fightening beast, o well tha’ts zap an ur manga xd.
